I cannot log into my BIMcollab space

What to do when your password seems to be incorrect while loggin into your BIMcollab space

Updated over 4 months ago

When trying to log in to your BIMcollab space, you might encounter the following error message:

“Are you sure you want to log into [yourspacename].bimcollab.com? Check your username and password and try again. 4 attempt(s) left.”

Troubleshooting

To overcome this, please take the following steps:

  1. Check the space name: Make sure you are logging into the correct space URL (e.g., [yourspacename].bimcollab.com).

  2. Verify the email address: Ensure you are using the email address associated with the specific BIMcollab space you are trying to access.

  3. Confirm your password: Double-check that you are entering the correct password for your account in that specific BIMcollab space.

📝 Note: When typing in your credentials, pay close attention to similar-looking characters, such as a lowercase “l” and a capital “I,” as they might appear identical.

⚠️ Attention: Pay attention to the difference between the credentials used for BIMcollab ID and the login credentials for a private BIMcollab space. Depending on user configuration, both accounts can have the same email address, but different passwords associated with them.

Forgot password

If you forgot the password to the space [yourspacename].bimcollab.com, and you are unable to access it and/or you are unable to connect to a project in BIMcollab Zoom or a BCF Manager, follow these steps to reset your password:

  1. Go to the login page of the space you are trying to connect to: [yourspacename].bimcollab.com

  2. Click on the “Forgot your password?” button on the login page.

  3. Enter your login email address.

  4. Check your inbox for an email with a link to reset your password.

  5. Make sure your password complies with the Password requirements

📝 Note: If you do not see an email in your mailbox, go to the article: No email received after password reset
