Latest solutions: Navisworks blue elements viewpoints

Keep clash colors by enabling only "Override Colors" before importing. If colors are lost, delete and re-import with correct settings.

Updated over 3 months ago

This problem appears to be related to the import settings for your issue viewpoints. Currently, your settings seem to be configured to save visible clashing components as "selected." Since Navisworks highlights selected elements in blue, this overrides the original red and green colors from Clash Detective, making it appear the default clash colors are lost.

You can easily avoid this by customizing the attributes for your viewpoints. To do this, adjust the "Selections" and "Override Colors" options in the quick comment section.

📝 Note: To enable the viewpoint settings panel, try entering a temporary comment in the white space section.

If you want to preserve the original red and green clash colors from Navisworks, make sure that only the "Override Colors" option is enabled, as shown above.

Make sure to apply this adjustment before importing your Clash Detective results.

Since viewpoints for previously imported issues cannot be updated, the best solution is to delete the incorrectly imported issues and re-import them with the correct viewpoint settings.

If the issues haven't been synchronized with your BIMcollab space, you can easily remove them. If the issues are already in your online project, please follow the steps from our article Delete an issue.
