Setting up your BIMcollab Zoom trial

This article will take you through the procedure to obtain a free 30-day Trial of the BIMcollab Zoom step by step.

Step 1: Activate the Trial license

  1. Go to the Trial page

  2. Click on 'Start my 30-day full Trial.'

  3. You will be asked to enter your email address to activate the Trial license
    ​​

    • If a BIMcollab ID already exists for that email, you can log in with your password, and the Trial is immediately activated. The license will be automatically connected to the existing account.

    • If no BIMcollab ID exists yet, you can create one in the next step.

      You will be asked to fill in your name and set a new password. The Trial is immediately activated, and the license will be connected to the new account.

      (You can also go here to register for a BIMcollab ID beforehand.)


  4. Once the Trial is activated, you will get a confirmation message, along with the date until when the Trial is valid

Step 2: Download and install BIMcollab Zoom

Go to downloads and download BIMcollab Zoom for Windows or MacOS. Once downloaded, you can install the application on your computer.


Step 3: Start BIMcollab Zoom and retrieve your Trial license

Start BIMcollab Zoom to start making use of your Trial license.

If this is a first time installation, you are asked to login in with the credentials of your BIMcollab ID.

If you logged in with the same BIMcollab ID with which you requested the Trial license, the license will be automatically retrieved, and you can immediately start using BIMcollab Zoom to use its full potential.

You can confirm whether you are using a license by looking for the text 'Trial mode', and the amount of days remaining in your Trial period in the lower left-hand corner of BIMcollab Zoom .

If the text is 'Free mode', you are still using a free license.

Follow these steps to retrieve your Trial license, if it didn't happen automatically yet:

  1. Go to Extra > Settings > Licensing

  2. Under 'License type', select 'Single license' (aka 'Personal')

  3. Under 'License credentials', fill in the login credentials for your BIMcollab ID

  4. Click on 'Obtain' to retrieve the license

The connection will check if a license is available for your BIMcollab ID, and will activate your Trial license.

Step 4: Use as you like

You can now use your Trial license in combination with any BIMcollab spaces. The connection to your Trial license is remembered.

Your Trial license is valid for a period of 30 days.
