Free vs Full license mode
The setup process for the Zoom desktop application is identical in both Free and Full license modes, up to the point where you need to retrieve the license.
Free mode which provides IFC viewing and basic issue management. Once you have downloaded the Zoom desktop application, your session will always start in Free mode.
Full license mode which unlocks advanced features such as model checking, quantity take-offs, IDS validation, Smart Issues and more.
If you have a Zoom license, you can activate it in the steps explained below and unlock all the features that BIMcollab Zoom has to offer.

Step 1: Install BIMcollab Zoom

• Permission to install software applications.
• Ability to write to system program directories.
macOS
• Administrator account on the device.
• Permission to install applications from identified developers.
• Ability to approve security prompts during installation.

Download guide
Download BIMcollab Zoom from the Download BIMcollab Zoom page.
Verify the installer version is approved by the company
Open the installation file.
Follow the on-screen installation instructions:
Accept Software License Agreement.
Choose installation location.
Confirm the installation completed successfully.
⚠️ Attention: It is important to always use the latest version of BIMcollab Zoom and keep it a standard across the whole company. Some of the BIMcollab Zoom shared resources rely on software version alignment. You can read more about it here.
Step 2: Open BIMcollab Zoom
When you first open BIMcollab Zoom after downloading, you will be prompted to log in with your BIMcollab ID.
If you do not have a BIMcollab ID yet, you can create one under this link as well.
⚠️ Attention: Once you have done this, you can start using the free version of BIMcollab Zoom.
Step 3: Start your BIM workflow
