Within BIMcollab you can have several types of subscriptions containing different licenses. These different licenses are connected to the specific needs of a BIMcollab user. For each type of license, there is a trial period available.
BIMcollab Issue Management enables users to handle issues directly within their modeling or model-checking environment. By starting a BIMcollab Trial you can access and try all of the features of this tool for 30 days and have an unlimited amount of users to collaborate together in this test period.
What's Included in the trial?
With the trial, you can explore everything Issue management (BIMcollab Nexus) has to offer:
30-day access: Try out Issue Management in your BIMcollab space for 30 days.
BIMcollab Nexus Ultimate plan: All basic and advanced features are available, based on the Ultimate plan.
25 BIMcollab Nexus licenses: Assign licenses to up to 25 team members so they can use Issue Management in your projects.
Set up a BIMcollab Issue Management Trial
To start a BIMcollab Trial, you'll need a BIMcollab ID, which is your overarching account used across our entire ecosystem.
How to create a new space and start an Issue Management trial:
Navigate to the space creation webpage
At the start of the process, you'll be asked to enter your email address. If you already have a BIMcollab ID, the next page will prompt you to log in with your password. If you've forgotten your password, you can reset it by clicking on "Forgot Password."
If you don't have a BIMcollab ID associated with this email address, you can proceed to enter the required information to sign up.
After logging in or signing up, you will be directed to a page to choose the space name for your new BIMcollab Trial space. Ensure the space name is unique and does not contain any unusual characters. Otherwise, you will receive a message stating, "The Trial space name is unavailable" or "Invalid Trial space name."

Click on "Request your Free Space".
In this step, you would see a page that states: "We are preparing your space..."

After a few minutes that the process is fully completed, you will get an email in your mailbox that your Trial space is ready.

Now you can log in to your new Trial space.
In the space you will be added as an admin and as the Project leader for the BIMcollab example project. This means that you can setup the project and add or invite team members.
Your 30 day trial has now begun. When navigating to the Dashboard, Issues or Checking tab in your projects, you will see that a Nexus trial is active in your space. In the banner you can also see how many days are remaining in the trial.
Assigning licenses
By default, only the user who started the trial will be assigned a BIMcollab Nexus license. To give access to other team members, you as an Administrator can assign Nexus licenses from the User page.
BIMcollab projects
Example project
A test project has already been created in this space with default values for issue properties and example desktop resources like Smart Views, Lists, and Clash Rules. The test project does not contain any models or issues, so you can populate it with your own models and issues.
Create a new project
If you want to start a new project click on the 'New project' button in the upper right-hand corner on the 'My Projects' page. You can use the existing BIMcollab project as a template to bring the issue properties and desktop resources along.
When creating a new project, you can define the project's name and choose a personal cover image for the project by clicking on the camera icon on the default image.
When the project has been created, set additional project characteristics like the start and end date of the project, invite Team members, and set other properties for the project.
Within the project, team members can have different roles. Project leaders and editors (for issues) can create, edit, and respond to issues. Other team members will act as viewers or reviewers for issues only. Viewers will be able to see all the issues but cannot alter them. Reviewers for issues can leave comments and approve issues but like viewers cannot make any other changes.
📝 Note: For more information about roles see Which roles are available within the BIMcollab environment.
