Solibri is a very powerful and flexible BIM tool. Connected to BIMcollab it becomes part of an equally powerful Issue management ecosystem.
Version 9.12 - The BCF Live connector
The BCF Live connector is introduced in Solibri 9.12.
Configure the settings of the BCF Live Connector
Go to the BCF Live Connector Layout to connect to BIMcollab and synchronize issues
In the BCF Live View, turn on the slider to configure the connection
Add a new server in the Select project dialog, select BIMcollab new as server
Type in the BIMcollab space address in the URL section, as https://example.bimcollab.com
Click on Authenticate and fill out your BIMcollab login credentials to configure the connection
The Server Name will be visible in Solibri and can differ from the URL
Select the project you want to connect to, and click Start Synchronization
Version 9.10 - An integrated BCF connector
Solibri uses their BCF Connector to connect to a BIMcollab project and synchronize issues. As of version 9.10 the BCF connector is included in the installation of Solibri (Office, Site and Anywhere).
Configure the settings of the BCF connector
You will find the BCF connector settings under File > Settings> BCF connector.
Add a new server in the dialog, select BIMcollab new as server
Type in the server address in the URL section, as https://example.bimcollab.com
Click on Authenticate and fill out your BIMcollab login credentials to configure the connection
The Server Name will be visible in Solibri and can differ from the URL
When you close this dialog your settings are saved and available for use in Solibri when synchronizing presentations.
📝 Note: Check the checkbox Show Synchronization Report as this provides an overview of how many issues are successfully imported, exported and updated after synchronization.
Version 9.8 and 9.9 - BCF connector extension
When working with Solibri Model Checker 9.8 or 9.9, follow these steps to successfully install and setup the BCF Connector.
Your Solibri administrator needs to add and assign the BCF Connector extension from the Solibri Solution Center to all users before they can install it.
You should be able to find and install the latest BCF Connector in Solibri via File > Solution Center
After installation, you will need to restart Solibri for the extension to take effect.
