Set up the BCF Managers

Step 1: Install the BCF Manager

Requirements

The BCF Managers operate inside your BIM applications (e.g., Revit, Archicad, Navisworks). Their system requirements are the same as those of the host BIM application you install them in.


Required permissions

Windows
• Local administrator rights on the computer.
• Permission to install software applications.
• Ability to write to system program directories.

macOS
• Administrator account on the device.
• Permission to install applications from identified developers.
• Ability to approve security prompts during installation.

Download guide

  1. Download BCF Manager from the Download BIMcollab BCF Managers

    page.

  2. Verify the installer version is approved by the company

  3. Open the installation file.

  4. Follow the on-screen installation instructions:

    • Accept Software License Agreement.

    • Choose installation location.

    • Confirm the installation completed successfully.

Step 2: Activate the BCF manager

To activate the BCF Manager, open the BIM authoring software in which you want to use it, making sure the relevant models are loaded.

Select the BCF Manager icon from the BIMcollab tab to open the pop-up window.
If you are a first-time user, you would need to log in with your BIMcollab ID, which you can create in this step as well.


Step 3: Connect to your BIMcollab project

Start your online BIM workflow using BIMcollab Model Quality Assurance (MQA) by connecting the BCF Manager to your BIMcollab project.
