In some situations, you may want to restrict Administrators from accessing a specific project. This can be useful when working with confidential information, protecting sensitive information or supporting compliance requirements.
⚠️ Attention: Only use this setting when necessary. Administrators are typically responsible for overall space management and support.
What happens when access is disabled?
By default, Space Administrators have access to newly created projects. As a Project leader, you can disable administrator access for an individual project.
When administrator access is disabled:
The project is hidden from all Space Administrators in the space. It is not possible to exclude specific administrators individually.
Administrators will still see that the project exists in the All Projects list, but it will appear greyed out.
When hovering over the project name, a message appears stating: "Project leader has disabled admin access for this project".
Administrators will not be able to open the project or view its content.
You can re-enable administrator access at any time by following the same steps and turning the setting back on.
Prevent an admin from accessing a project
To prevent Administrators from accessing a project, Project leaders can configure this in the General project settings.
From the Settings tab, go to the General menu.
Deactivate the option 'Allow administrators to access this project'.
