Project leaders who are already part of a BIMcollab project or have created a project can add someone to a project by following these steps:
On the 'My Projects' page, select the project you wish to add team members to.
From the 'Settings' page, go to the Team members tab and click on the '+' symbol to add a team member.
💡 Tip: As an administrator, you can add team members to multiple projects at once. Go to the Users tab, click on the user's name. From the edit user menu, click on the '+' sign, and add the user to multiple projects.
Users and roles
Choose or add the users
If the team members you want to add are already part of the BIMcollab space as a user, you can select them to join the project. Assign a role to the new team members while adding them to the project.
If the users you want to add to the project are not yet part of the BIMcollab space, you also need to add them to the space. Choose the option 'create new user' in the dropdown menu where you normally choose the user.
Select the correct roles
Assign a project role to the new team members.
The project roles are described below. For more information about roles, see Roles within the BIMcollab environment.
Project leader: can add team members, edit project settings, add/edit issues, add/edit documents, load models to the WebViewer, create reports, and create IDS specifications
Editor: can view team members, add/edit issues, add/edit documents, load models to the WebViewer, create reports, and view IDS specifications

Settings for Document Management
If your subscription includes Document Management, you can choose if this user will have access to these two types of documents:
Has access to unpublished documents: Non-published documents are documents that have not been approved for publishing. By default, all files uploaded to BIMcollab are non-published, and are assigned a Shared state and placed in the Shared folder. Read more about the Document state workflow in BIMcollab.
If the team member's role includes rights to edit documents, this can not be turned off.
Has access to confidential documents: In BIMcollab, confidential documents are files that contain information that is restricted to certain team members.
Note that users in roles Editor for issues, Reviewer, and Viewer, can be granted access to Confidential documents only if they are also granted access to non-published documents. That is because Confidential documents can be in any publishing status.
Settings for Issue Management
In the issues part of the settings, you can assign a user to a group, as well as assign these additional rights:
Assignable: When 'Assignable' is enabled, issues can be assigned to the team member. When unselecting 'Assignable', the team member can still access the project and edit issues (unless the team member is a viewer).
Is allowed to import BCF files -Project Leaders and Editors can be set to be allowed to import BCF files.
Has BIMcollab Zoom edit rights - The BIMcollab Zoom edit rights determine whether a team member can create, edit, and share BIMcollab resources and project folders.
Can only assign issues within the company - Some team members only need to be able to assign issues to team members within their own company or sub-team.
The table below illustrates which toggles are available for which roles.
