Clara, our AI assistant, uses AI technology provided by Intercom. Intercom’s AI is AIUC-1 certified, meeting industry standards for responsible and secure AI usage.
Clara helps in finding answers quickly by understanding both text and images shared in conversations, making it easier to troubleshoot problems and access relevant information.
Scope of usage
Clara is designed for support purposes only. She does not have access to your BIMcollab project data or information about Issues inside your projects.
Clara does not process file attachments, including .ifc and .bcf formats. If support is needed, provide a text description of the issue or a screenshot of the relevant area.
Image support
When an image is uploaded, Clara can:
Extract text (OCR)
Identify UI elements, labels, and numbers
Highlight product or reference details
Provide context-aware insights
This works well with screenshots and error messages.
💡 Tip: Clara’s image support is not fully optimized. She can detect details such as error codes, but for complex topics, it’s best to describe the topic in text along with the image.
Best practices
Be specific and detailed in your question
The more specific your question, the better the answer will be.
Less effective: “BIMcollab issue doesn’t work”.
More effective: “I can’t sync issues from Revit to BIMcollab. I’m using Revit 2024 and BIMcollab MQA (Nexus).”
Mention the product and version
Whenever possible, include the specific BIMcollab product (e.g. BIMcollab MQE or CDE, BIMcollab Zoom), the integration you are using (Revit, Archicad, Navisworks, etc.), and the software version.
Ask one question at a Time
AI works best when questions are focused. You can always ask follow-up questions, as AI remembers the history of the conversation.
Instead of:
“How do I create issues, assign them, sync with Revit and export reports?”
Try:
“How do I create an issue in BIMcollab?”
Refer to errors or messages exactly
If you see an error message, copy it exactly into your question.
Example:
“I get the error ‘Authentication failed: invalid token’ when logging in.”
Exact wording helps the AI match known issues and help articles.
You can also upload a screenshot of the error.
