When you need to add multiple issues, they frequently have a lot of properties in common or need to be assigned to the same person. Instead of having to indicate every issue property again when you create a similar issue, you can clone an issue directly in the BIMcollab web application. Simply add a new title and description, and the rest of the attributes are filled in automatically.
Go to the Issues page of your project in BIMcollab
Find the issue you want to clone
Go to the hamburger menu (three horizontal lines behind the issue), either directly on the Issues page or on the Issue details page
Choose 'Clone issue'
Fill in the title and description, and add a snapshot
If necessary, adjust any fields which should not be identical to the original issue
📝 Note: The status of the original issue will not be taken over. A new issue will always have the status 'Active'.
It is currently only possible to clone an issue in the BIMcollab web application, not in BIMcollab Zoom or BCF Manager.
