Viewpoints and Snapshots

Snapshots

With the BCF Manager for Tekla your have the option to add a snapshot:

  • By adding the current window as a snapshot

The active view in Tekla is added by default when creating a new issue

  • By choosing an image from a file

  • By adding a saved image from the clipboard

When you want to edit a Snapshot, you can click on the pencil button.

The snapshot will be opened in Paint, where you can add annotations.

Viewpoints

Store only what’s needed in the viewpoint of the issue.

When creating a new issue, the BCF manager allows you to choose which items will be stored in the viewpoint:

  • Selected components

  • None = Show whole model

⚠️ Attention: In Tekla Structures, it is currently not possible to automatically save visible components in an issue.

The best way to achieve this is to first select the components that need to be added to the viewpoint before you create a new issue.

📝 Note: For general information about creating viewpoints, click Create the best viewpoints

Synchronizing Issues to your BIMcollab Space

After creating your issues in Tekla BCF Manager you can synchronize them with the project on your BIMcollab space.

  • Click the 'Synchronize Project' button in top of the menu

  • To pause an issue (do not synchronize with the next sync action), click the sync symbol behind the issue

  • After synchronizing, the issues will be visible in BIMcollab

📝 Note: To know how to use the BCF manager without connecting to a project in BIMcollab, consult the article about the offline workflow with the BCF Manager.

💡 Tip: Have a look in the BIMcollab Help Center about the BCF Manager in Tekla Structures
