When working collaboratively on an online platform such as BIMcollab, simultaneous editing can lead to conflicts. This guide explains how to identify and resolve such conflicts to ensure that important information is not lost and that the synchronization process is smooth while you are working on Issues in BIMcollab Zoom application and you are connected to your BIMcollab space.
Understanding the error
A synchronization error occurs when the Issue you are editing has already been changed and synchronized by another team member. If a colleague edits the same Issue and synchronizes their changes before you do, an error message will appear when you attempt to synchronize.

This message informs you that your changes cannot be published due to potential conflicts. It's good to review any important information added by your colleague before applying your changes to avoid overwriting valuable data.
Finding the Issues involved in the error
When you receive a synchronization error, you might have been editing multiple Issues. To identify which specific Issues are causing the error, look for the exclamation mark symbol. The location of this symbol depends on your Issue view mode in the Issues panel:
List View: The exclamation mark is found in the last column called 'Action'. Expand the Issue panel to see this column.
Image Tiles View: The exclamation mark is displayed directly on the picture of the Issue.
Resolving the error
Once you have identified the marked Issues, click on the exclamation mark to open a window with three options:
View the Issue in BIMcollab: This option allows you to see the current properties of the Issue on BIMcollab web, ensuring you do not overwrite any important information. You can then decide whether to discard or save your changes.
Discard Your Changes: This option lets you discard the changes you made.
Save Your Changes: This option allows you to save the changes you made, overwriting the current properties of the Issue.
By following these steps, you can manage synchronization conflicts effectively and maintain the integrity of your project data.
