Why don’t I see selected/colored components in other BIM tools?

Updated over 4 months ago

Both colored and selected components in Solibri are stored by BIMcollab. However in Solibri it may not always be clear when a component is colored or selected.

In Solibri, there are multiple ways to add components to a viewpoint.

  1. Components selected by a single click (directly in the model or from the model tree) are highlighted in green in Solibri, and are registered as colored components in the viewpoint of the issue

  2. Components selected by the selection tool are displayed in blue in Solibri, and are registered as colored components in the viewpoint of the issue

  3. Components added to the viewpoint via the selection basket in the Issue details window, are registered as selected elements in the viewpoint of the issue

Some BIM tools are not able to handle colored and selected components in the same way as Solibri does.
