On-premise BIMcollab space - Preparation of a Microsoft Windows server

Updated yesterday

📝 Note: End of Development for On-Premise

BIMcollab has discontinued development of the on-premise solution for BIMcollab Spaces. Maintaining on-premise deployments limits innovation, increases operational complexity, and prevents the adoption of modern technologies and security standards.

The final on-premise update was be released in 2025.

After this release, no further updates, features, or improvements will be provided.

The on-premise solution will remain available on an “as-is” basis.

📝 Note: Please visit the On-premise policy BIMcollab article, which outlines the transition from On-premise solutions to enhanced single tenant and multi-tenant cloud offerings, including reasons and pathways for upgrading.

The document in the attachment of this article contains a guide how to properly prepare a Microsoft Windows server, to be used to host your On-premise BIMcollab space. The preparation needs to be completed before the BIMcollab team can install the software on the server.
