Monitor Issues in graphs

Keep track of BIM project progress and Issue Management

Updated over 4 months ago

BIMcollab provides you with an overview of all issues in a project and the project's progress, using a series of summary graphs.

To see these graphs, click 'Show graphs' on the Issues page of your project.

You can also get a graphic overview of all of the projects by clicking the 'Show graphs' button from the 'My projects' page.

⚠️ Note: This feature is not available on all plans. To check if it’s included in your subscription, review the [plan comparison list] or contact your admin. If the feature isn’t available, you may need to upgrade your plan.

Types of graphs

You may have several different types of graphs:

  1. Donut diagrams
Show the proportion of problems to solve according to their properties, like status, milestone, area, priority, or type.

  2. Bar charts
Illustrate your project’s situation with more details. They present the number of problems to solve (as well as their status) for each key parameter, such as issues per team member, per company, per milestone, per area, or other customized parameters.

  3. Line charts
Provide insight into the time taken to close issues, the peaks of activities, and the evolution of the number of issues over time.

Interactive graphs

Please note that all diagrams available here are interactive graphs. By simply clicking on the part that interests you, you will see more detailed data appearing on the pictures (for example, more information for a specific team member’s activity).

Customizing the graphs

Customizing the graphs can be achieved in three ways:

  1. The settings button
Through this button on the Issues/Graphs page, you can access a list of Graphs settings and choose which graphs you want to show or not show. You can also choose whether the gridlines need to be active or not, and if multiple graphs may be shown next to each other.

💡 Tip: Gridlines can be enabled or disabled for all graphics at the same time.

  1. With the issue filter
You can specify which issues are to be shown in the graphs and which are not. For example, do not show the closed issues, or only show the issues for a certain milestone, etc.
When the filter has been used within the Issues page, these chosen filter settings will also be applied to the graphs when turning to the Graphs page.

  2. By selecting your favorites

By using the red, yellow, and green labels, you can limit the graphs to only those issues that are part of these favorite groups.

📝 Note: To know more about using favorites, consult the article Mark your favorite issues for a presentation
