How to manage BIMcollab Zoom licenses

Learn how to assign and monitor BIMcollab Zoom licenses as an administrator.

BIMcollab Zoom requires a dedicated license for each user who needs access to its full functionality, including advanced model checking and the Checking tab in BIMcollab.

Administrators can manage these licenses from the Space Administration page of their BIMcollab space. This article explains how to assign Zoom licenses to users and monitor their usage.

Assign a Zoom licenses

The User tab provides administrators with a handy way to manage and monitor all BIMcollab licenses. It offers an overview of all users in the space, displaying key information such as last login date, the number of projects they are involved in, and any BIMcollab licenses assigned to them.

To quickly manage your Zoom license from the User tab, start by following these helpful steps:

  1. Log in to your BIMcollab space as an administrator.

  2. Go to the Administration dashboard by clicking on the gear icon in the top-right corner and select the option of Space Administration.


  3. Go to the Users tab.


  4. Use the search bar to find the required user, and make use of the toggles in the last columns of the User overview to quickly assign or remove Zoom licenses.

Monitor BIMcollab Zoom licenses

In addition to the User page, administrators can also monitor Zoom licenses from the Zoom page. This page provides an overview of all users with access to a Zoom license, along with useful information about license usage. Administrators can also configure extra settings related to license management.

Follow the instructions below to access the Zoom page.

  1. Log in to your BIMcollab space as an administrator.

  2. Go to the Administration dashboard by clicking on the gear icon in the top-right corner and select the option of Space Administration.

  3. Go to the Zoom tab.


  4. Use the toggles available on the page to set different settings that will apply to the license. Several options can be set for each user:

    1. Block renewal.
      When this option is enabled, the user will be blocked from retrieving or renewing a license.

    2. Limited to this space
      When this option is enabled, the user will not be able to use the license when he is not connected to the space or when they are offline.
