Espaço BIMcollab On-premise Nexus - Procedimento de entrega
The following describes the steps to be followed in order to allow BIMcollab to deliver an on-premise installation of a BIMcollab space within your organization. Please review all of these steps and ensure that you will be able meet all of the requirements stated.
Step 1: Purchasing an on-premise space
Anyone can order a BIMcollab space as an on-premise installation. Contact us for more information and prices.
Step 2: Prepare a Microsoft Windows server
When we have received your order (or earlier if requested), you will receive a guide how to properly prepare a Microsoft Windows server to be used to host the BIMcollab space.
Your organization is responsible for properly preparing the server.
The preparation needs to be completed before the BIMcollab team can install the software on your server.

In order to complete the on-premise installation, it is necessary for the server to be accessible through the internet by our support team. If required the server can be disconnected once the installation is complete.
To enable our support team to connect to the Windows server through a remote connection, a public DNS registration is required and will be registered by our support team.
Once all the preparations are completed, our support team will take over and install the BIMcollab space and any other necessary components. This will be done in the next step.
Step 3: We install the software
The server will be registered and installed from our internal BIMcollab Control Centre. After installation our support team shall perform a set of routine checks to be sure the BIMcollab space has been properly rolled out and is functioning as required. Normally, this will take three working days.
Step 4: Set the administrator password
After the quality checks in step 3 are passed, your space administrator, as registered in step 1, will receive a confirmation email with the possibility to set a password for the administrator account. This must be done immediately as this will be the only person who can access the BIMcollab space once the roll-out is completed.
Step 5: Configure the local network
You may need to configure your local network so that the server (and the space) can be reached by the necessary client computers. We highly recommend that this is done prior to disconnecting the server from the Internet. This will allow our support team to assist in this step if needed.
Step 6: Disconnect the server
If required for your project’s security policy, the BIMcollab server can now be disconnected from the Internet. The public DNS registry will remain available for future updates or maintenance. However, we can remove this on request.
