Why can some components not be found in Revit?

In Revit, components located in linked models cannot be individually manipulated by the BCF manager. This is a limitation of Revit itself. Therefore only components in the main model can be found when performing a zoom-to.

In the case where one or more components are found, but not all, you can make use of the section box feature to place a section box around the found components making the rest of the model visible as demonstrated below.
