Why are components not stored in a viewpoint?

In Tekla, components can be part of an assembly, to easily select them as a group. These assemblies do not have the same reference ID as the components they contain.
If an assembly is selected as a whole and linked to an issue, the BCF Manager will search for the components by their assembly ID, but not their individual component ID.

When an exported IFC file from Tekla does not contain the assembly references (due to the export’s setup), the BCF Manager will not find these components when zooming to an issue.

To avoid this, make sure to select one or more components within the assembly (subparts) before creating an issue. This way the component's IDs will be saved in the viewpoint, and the BCF manager will be able to find them in the IFC model.
