Use KEY files to activate BIMcollab software with a closed on-premise BIMcollab Nexus space

All software in the BIMcollab eco-system, including the BCFManagers and BIMcollab Zoom, require activation.Normally this is done online and requires the computerto have an internet connection.
However when you run a closed on-premise, such anactivation might not be impossible. In such a case we will sendyou a so called *.KEY file to allow the activation to beperformed without any external connection.
A *.KEY filecan be provided to you by KUBUS when requested. To apply the file on a system, follow these steps:
  1. WINDOWS
    1. Assuming that C:\ is your system drive, create thefollowing path: C:\Program Data\KUBUS\BIMcollab
    2. Copy the *.KEY file into this folder. Ensure that all userswill have READ & WRITE access to both the BIMcollabfolder as well as the *.KEY file.
  2. MacOS
    1. Create the following path:\Library\Caches\KUBUS\BIMcollab
    2. Copy the *.KEY file into this folder. Ensure that all userswill have READ & WRITE access to the BIMcollab folderas well as the *.KEY file.
With the .KEY file now in place, any user on that systemwill be able to use the software. The activation will takeplace in the background with no further interactionneeded from the user.
