Shared Zoom resources created in a newer version
With the release of the latest BIMcollab Zoom version, an enhancement in the structuring of properties has been introduced. These improvements are designed to positively impact Information Delivery Specification (IDS) workflows and model checking, offering advanced capabilities for users. However, this advancement comes with a compatibility limitation: resources created or managed with higher versions are no longer compatible with earlier versions. Synchronized upgrades across team members are important to maintain seamless access to shared smart views, clash rules, lists, and smart properties.
Note: If you change a rule in a set, the whole set is upgraded to a new version and cannot be used in an older version of Zoom
When discrepancies in version usage occur within a team—where some members upgrade to the latest version while others remain on older versions—the collaborative environment can be disrupted. Newly created or updated resources by those on the newer version would become inaccessible and the previously shared and created resources would become read-only to those on older versions. Users of the older versions would get the error message below:
Upgrade for all the team members
Upgrading to the latest version of BIMcollab Zoom ensures that your team can fully use the new features and improvements in property structuring and model checking. We encourage administrators and team leaders to facilitate a collective upgrade, ensuring all team members move forward together. In this case, upgraded shared resources would be automatically accessible to all the team members.
