Below you can find a detailed list of frequently asked questions before purchasing a BIMcollab Nexus subscription or a BIMcollab Zoom license.

What does a training meeting cost?

The first meeting to help you get started is always covered in your subscription cost.
You can always contact your Account manager for questions relating to your subscription, and contact our support team a support@bimcollab.com for any technical questions.
If a consulting meeting is required, you can also contact your Account manager.
Clients with an Ultimate plan are entitled to quarterly heads up meetings.

Are there any setup fees or hidden fees in a contract?

BIMcollab Nexus is a subscription-based service, with both yearly and monthly payment options. The price you see in the BIMcollab Webshop for the subscription you choose, is the price in total. There are no setup- or hidden fees.

Does BIMcollab offer any discount?

Our BIMcollab Nexus plans start free and grow with you as your team scales. Our plans can be trialed for free at any time. 30 day Trial
Special pricing is only available to registered charitable non-profits, educational institutions or certified BIMcollab partners (resellers or developers).

How can I change the billing information or the payment method of my subscription?

What type of payments do you accept?

We accept Credit card, Ideal or Paypal.

Who do you invoice?

We invoice directly and only to one desired invoice address of the BIMcollab Nexus.

What are the options for payment terms of the subscription?

You can pay for your subscription either on a monthly or a yearly basis. When you choose the yearly option, you get a discount on the total yearly price of your subscription.

Which plan is right for me?

Which plan is the right plan for you, fully depends on your project's requirements, and which tools you work with.

Can I choose which projects are made with the Essential and Premium plan?

All your projects in your BIMcollab Nexus are set up in the same space, which only has one plan at the same time.
You have the possibility to set up multiple BIMcollab Nexuss with different plans.
However, our pricing reflects the fact that not all projects are using all features of a plan. To avoid having to pay double for users, we do not recommend to split your projects over multiple plans.

How many projects can I set up in my BIMcollab Nexus?

The amount project in a paying BIMcollab Nexus is unlimited.
The number of users and the plan of your subscription determine to what extent you can collaborate. One user can be active in an unlimited amount of projects. This means BIMcollab can become even more affordable than you thought in the first place.

Can I change the amount of users and the plan of my subscription?

Yes, as an administrator you can both upgrade or downgrade the amount of users on the dashboard of your BIMcollab Nexus.
You can also upgrade the plan directly from your BIMcollab Nexus. Before doing so, consider and test the features and integrations you will gain with this upgrade.
If you are thinking about downgrading your plan, contact your Account manager to discuss how this might affect your current workflow.

How do I request an upgrade quote for my space?

You can generate a quote yourself via the administrator's dashboard of your BIMcollab Nexus space. Login to your space, click on the Settings icon, and choose 'Administration' to go to the dashboard. Here you can click on 'Get a quote to update' to get a quote.

When does my upgrade begin?

The new number of users and Zoom licenses will be immediately available after confirming the upgrade.

Can I use the user licenses of my BIMcollab Nexus in another company's space?

No, user licenses are bound to your own BIMcollab Nexus, and cannot be combined and used in another space. When you are added to a different space, you count as a separate active user there.
To add more users to the space, you can upgrade your subscription through the administration dashboard.

Can I re-assign a subscription to a new owner?

In order to reassign your existing subscription to a new entity, log in to your space, go to the Administrator's dashboard and update the billing information.

How many Zoom licenses are included in my BIMcollab Nexus subscription?

The Essential plan does not include any free Zoom licenses.
The Premium and Ultimate plans include one free Zoom license when they have 25 users or more.

You can manage the Zoom license from your BIMcollab Nexus's license pool as an Administrator. Depending on the licence, multiple users can be added to the pool per licence. Do note that the license can be used by only one user at the same time.

Can I cancel my BIMcollab Nexus subscription at any time?

Which payment method you choose has an influence on the cancellation period.
  1. Yearly: The subscription can be cancelled at any time during the year, with a minimum of one month's notice before the renewal date. The subscription will end at the end of the payment term.
    Upgrades can be done at any time. Downgrades can be done with a one month notice period before the renewal date.
  2. Monthly: The cancelling of the subscription, as well as up- or downgrading can be done at any time with a one month cancellation period.

Can I put my subscription on hold?

No, however with the monthly payment method, you can choose to temporarily downgrade the amount of users until BIMcollab Nexus is back in high use again.
This way you maintain consistent access to your BIMcollab Nexus and all data within it.

What happens to the BIMcollab Nexus data after cancellation?

The data will remain in our backlog for 90 days, after which it will be permanently removed.

How can I make a backup of my projects before I cancel my subscription?

When ending a BIMcollab Nexus, you might still need access to your issue-data. Find more info on how to archive your projects in the article Create a backup of your project.

Can BIMcollab provide written confirmation that it is the manufacturer of the products it sells?

Upon request, we are happy to provide a Sole Source letter confirming that BIMcollab is the manufacturer of the products we sell. If you'd like a copy of our Sole Source letter, Contact Us.

How can I order a Zoom license?

We have two different kinds of Zoom licenses:
  1. Company licenses as part of a BIMcollab Nexus subscription. Per space one license type can be chosen. We offer two license types:
    1. Named licenses are assigned to one specific user. This user can therefore always retrieve a BIMcollab Zoom license. An administrator can assign the license to a user.
    2. Floating licenses work with a license pool. Per license four users can be added to the pool and share the license. One user at a time can retrieve the BIMcollab Zoom license. An administrator can assign users to the license pool.
  2. Personal licenses as individual licenses without a BIMcollab Nexus subscription. These licenses are linked to one email address and cannot be shared.

What if I already have a BIMcollab Nexus subscription?

It its best to order Zoom licenses directly from the administration dashboard of your BIMcollab Nexus space. This way, the Zoom licenses will be automatically linked to your BIMcollab Nexus, allowing you which users in the space can use the license.

Can I cancel my Zoom license at any time?

A ZOOM license can be cancelled with a minimum of 1 month notice before the renewal date. The subscription will end at the end of the payment term.

Is BIMcollab Zoom free really free?

Yes. BIMcollab Zoom is the IFC model validation tool with the fastest performance on the market, which can also load Point clouds.
Use section planes and -boxes, add annotations and dimensions to viewpoints to validate your models. Zoom has a full connection to BIMcollab Nexus to create and manage issues. All of these features are fully included in the free version of BIMcollab Zoom

Security

How secure in BIMcollab?

  1. BIMcollab Nexus is the standard version, which you can order from the BIMcollab webshop directly.

  2. You can also host a BIMcollab space on a company server. The on-premise version is a special version of BIMcollab Nexus we can install with your help on one of your servers. It allows you to have full control of the data security, but also up-time and back-ups.
    On-Premise is available for every plan: Essential, Premium & Ultimate with at least 25 users.
    For more information about pricing, technical requirements and installation of the on-premise version, please contact your Account Manager via sales@bimcollab.com.
If you consider our pricing model and the costs of creating and managing individual agreements with each of our customers, you can begin to understand why we cannot do that. Maintaining standard terms with all of our customers allows us to focus our resources on meeting our obligations under these agreements. Do keep in mind of course that our customer terms have been very carefully authored to be fair to both you and us. Might there be some issues that are not covered, feel free to contact us.

Our IT department would like to send a security assessment. Is that OK?

If you consider our pricing model and the costs of answering to individual assessments with each of our customers, you can begin to understand why we cannot do that. Maintaining a standard list of security FAQs which you can use for a self-assessment, allows us to focus our resources on improving our security standards.
