Not all components in an issue are shown
This problem can have several causes. When components are not found at zoom-to after double clicking on an issue, a button with a blue exclamation mark
appears above the snapshot image. By clicking this you get an explanation. This could be due to deleted components or models which are not loaded.
To identify more details of the source of this problem, view the information about linked components by clicking the information
button above the snapshot image.A list of components appears that are saved within the issue.
Before working on issues, verify that all relevant models are fully loaded in BIMcollab ZOOM.
Viewpoint info window
The Viewpoint Info Window in BIMcollab Zoom is a tool that provides detailed information about the saved viewpoint in an issue. 1. General details
The top section of the Viewpoint info Window offers a summary of the general details related to the viewpoint, including:
- Camera Type: Indicates whether the camera is set to perspective or orthographic mode.
- Component Count: Displays the total number of components associated with the viewpoint.
- Component Status: Shows how many components are shown as visible, selected, colored.
- Additional Viewpoint Elements: This section shows whether section planes and annotations are included in the viewpoint. These elements provide further context by allowing specific slices of the model to be viewed or by adding notes and markers that clarify key areas within the issue.
2. IFC GUID Table
The IFC GUID (Globally Unique Identifier) table is a crucial part of the Viewpoint Info Window, offering detailed data about each component:
- GUID Information: Lists each component’s GUID, making it easy to track and manage individual elements within the issue.
- Component Status: Shows how many components are visible, selected, or colored by adding a check mark under the respective columns. It also specifies the type of each element, allowing for quick identification and management of key components within the viewpoint.
If any of the lines in the Viewpoint info window are highlighted in red, it indicates that BIMcollab Zoom is unable to find the corresponding GUID in the loaded models. This may suggest that the component is missing or that the relevant model has not been loaded.
3. Check components
The "Check Components" section allows you to:
- View Element Types: Displays the types of elements included in the viewpoint, offering a quick overview of the components that make up the issue.
4. Copy IFC GUID
This feature enables you to:
- Copy GUIDs: Easily copy the GUID of any component listed in the table. Note: You must first click on 'Check Components' (3) to enable the copy function.
- Search in BIMcollab Zoom: Paste the copied GUID into the search function in BIMcollab Zoom to locate and examine the element further. This is helpful for identifying components that require more detailed analysis or troubleshooting.
