A BIMcollab Space account contains your personal information and settings within a specific BIMcollab Space.
If you work in multiple BIMcollab spaces, you will have a separate space account in each Space. The information, permissions, and settings of these accounts may differ depending on how each organization manages its space.
BIMcollab ID vs. space account
In the BIMcollab, there are two different kinds of accounts.
Your BIMcollab ID
An overarching, personal account, which contains your personal information. It is managed by you, and used for used for BIMcollab services such as Academy and trials, and other. For more information, consult the article My BIMcollab ID.
Space account
An account specific to the BIMcollab space you have been added to. Used to access and work in a BIMcollab Space, and managed by you and your space administrator.
A single BIMcollab ID can be associated with multiple space accounts, and each space will have it's own space account. A Space account is automatically created for you when you are added to a BIMcollab space.
Access your space account
To view or edit your space account information:
Log in to your BIMcollab Space.
Click your profile icon in the top-right corner.
Select My account.
The available settings depend on your Space configuration and permissions.
Personal information
📝 Note: Some information may be managed by your Space Administrator and may not be editable by individual users.
Within your space account, you can manage information such as:
Name and initials
Email address (if permitted)
Language preference
Notifications - manage your report notifications all at once for the projects you are part of.
Avatar
You can view your user information, Space role (Administrator or User), as well as the user rights assigned to you.
Security
If two-factor authentication is not enforced for all users by the space administrator and is instead set to Individual choice, you can enable 2FA yourself in your account settings.

What can Space Administrators manage?
Space administrator can update user information, such as name, initials, company, and language settings. Follow the steps below to efficiently access and edit a user's Space account details.
Go to the Space Administration by clicking the gear icon in the top-right corner.
Navigate to the Users page.
Locate and click on the user you want to edit. Use the search bar if needed.
Open the edit dialogue via the 'Edit user' button at the top right.
