Check the Smart View actions
All Smart views start with an empty view. To see the components you want, you must always explicitly add them to the view by using one of the three ADD actions.
Add
Add elements to the view with their original colorAdd and set colored
Add elements to the view and display them with a color of your choiceAdd and set transparent
Add elements to the view and display them transparently
Ensure to include sub-components
In some cases, elements can be composed of parts. Depending on your IFC exporting settings, it might be possible these elements do not have their own geometry, but are represented instead by their sub-components (This is especially common while working with Assemblies)
To ensure sub-components are visible in your Smart View, make sure to enable the 'Include Parts' checkmark.
📝 Note: More information about this option in our article Working with Sub-Components in BIMcollab.
⚠️ Attention: If the view is still empty after having added elements, this means no elements meet the defined properties in the Smart view.
