Staying updated is essential when working with BIMcollab tools. This guide outlines the processes for enabling automatic updates, performing manual updates, and managing installations through the BIMcollab Installer. It provides clear instructions for both Windows and Mac users, ensuring that all users can keep their software current, benefit from the latest features, and resolve known bugs efficiently.

Automatic check for updates
BIMcollab Zoom allows users to enable automatic update checks, which can be configured in the Settings page.
In Windows: Go to the Extra tab and select Settings. For Mac users: Click on the BIMcollab Zoom tab at the top of your screen and select Settings.
On the General page under System, users can toggle the option to enable or disable automatic checking for BIMcollab Zoom updates.
Whenever a new version of the software is available and automatic update checking is enabled, a software update banner will appear upon starting BIMcollab, prompting users to install the latest version. This banner includes details about new features, improvements, and bug fixes.
If Remind me later is selected, an update icon will appear in the top-right corner of the application, allowing users to access the banner at a later time. This red arrow also serves as a general indicator that BIMcollab requires an update.
Manual check for updates
Launch your BIMcollab Zoom application.
In Windows: Navigate to the Extra tab and select the Check for updates option. For Mac users: Click on the BIMcollab tab at the top of your screen and select Check for updates.
If updates are available, a software update banner will appear, prompting users to install the latest version of BIMcollab.
If no updates are available, a pop-up will appear saying, "You're up to date!".
To check the version of BIMcollab installed on your computer:
In Windows: Navigate to the Extra tab and select the About BIMcollab option. For Mac users: Click on the BIMcollab tab at the top of your screen and select About BIMcollab.

📝 Note: You do not need to uninstall the existing version of BIMcollab before downloading and installing a newer version.
BCF Manager
In-App Updates
If there is a new version of a BCF Manager available, an update icon will appear on top of the application, allowing users to update after clicking. This red arrow also serves as a general indicator that BIMcollab Zoom requires an update.
To check the version of BIMcollab BCF Manager installed on your computer:
Navigate to the BCF Manager Menu and select Info to view the version of the tool.
