New BIMcollab Zoom releases may introduce changes to these resources to support new features, IDS workflows, and model-checking capabilities. As a result, resources created or edited in a newer version of BIMcollab Zoom may not be compatible with older versions.
Version compatibility
Resources created in older versions
Shared resources created in an older version remain compatible with newer versions of BIMcollab Zoom.
For example: A Smart View created in BIMcollab Zoom v6.8 can be opened and used in BIMcollab Zoom v9.0.
Resources created or edited in newer versions
Resources that are created or modified in a newer version may no longer be compatible with older versions.
For example: A List edited in BIMcollab Zoom v9.0 cannot be opened or edited in BIMcollab Zoom 6.8.
⚠️ Attention: Editing and saving a shared resource in a newer Zoom version upgrades the entire shared resource set. After this upgrade, the set can no longer be used in older versions of BIMcollab Zoom.
Working with different Zoom versions
If team members work with different BIMcollab Zoom versions, shared resources may become unavailable in older versions.
Resources created or edited in the newer version will become read-only or inaccessible for users on older versions. This prevents accidental corruption of shared project data.

Users working in an older version may see an error message indicating that the resource was created with a newer version of BIMcollab Zoom.
