How to assign or change roles
⚠️ Attention: Team member roles are managed separately for each project.
To change a team member's role, follow the steps described below.
Navigate to the Settings tab of your project.
Open the Team Members tab.
Click on the required existing member from the list. Or click on the "+" icon to add a new team member.
In the pop-up window, choose the team member role for the user.
Tips for managing access
Use the Editor for documents role if you want to give someone model upload permissions without granting full project management rights.
Use the Editor for issues, Reviewer, or Viewer roles for users who should only view models without making changes.
Consider pairing the upload permission with access to non-published or confidential documents for more advanced access control.
📝 Note: To know how to upload your models to a project in BIMcollab, consult the article Quick Start Guide BIMcollab Model WebViewer.
